The Four Leaves

Four Leaves is a new elevated gastropub in Park Ridge, NJ, offering chef-driven food, craft cocktails, and a warm, modern setting - perfect for dinner, drinks, and elevated bar food.

While planning the design for this restaurant, they decided to include a second level to maximize space for customer seating.

Four Leaves reached out to The Mezzanine Company to provide a solution. There were some challenges they would need to be overcome for a successful project:

• Maintaining a specific aesthetic of the overall location
• Reducing columns while also avoiding additional cost for footings

Working within the requirements for the new Four Leaves location, we designed a 700 square foot mezzanine that would meet their needs. We partnered with an engineering firm to assess the slab and were able to provide a custom design that successfully reduced columns and avoided footings.

Additionally, to match the overall aesthetic and meet public access codes, the mezzanine and stairs would have cable railing.

Once the proposal was accepted, approval drawings were generated, and our team made a site visit to make the finishing design adjustments. Additionally, we provided PE stamped drawings for the State of New Jersey to be used for permitting.

Once the mezzanine production was complete, we arranged for a prompt delivery and coordinated together the best installation schedule that worked within the overall construction timeline.

In the end, Four Leaves ended up with the space needed to allow them to seat additional customers in their location.
