Challenge

Founded in 2002, Bentley Labs is a cutting-edge formulation and manufacturing partner to the world’s best beauty brands. They pride themselves with delivering the highest quality, most innovative products to their brand partners, on budget, on time, every time.

Recently, they were looking to extend an existing platform in order to expand process equipment.

Bentley Labs reached out to The Mezzanine Company to provide a solution. To meet their needs, the new platform would need to be custom designed to accommodate two large openings for mixing tanks. The new platform would also need to match up with their existing platform for a smooth transition and also to match the existing specifications.

Solution

Working closely with Bentley Labs, we came up with a design for a rectangular shaped platform that would serve their needs. For the flooring, a heavy duty steel plate decking would be used.

The platform was custom designed with a capacity of 250 psf. Additionally, all structural steel was used to match the specifications of the existing platform.

Once the approval drawings were generated, our local project manager made a site visit to make the finishing design adjustments. Additionally, in order to provide full turnkey services, we handled filing permits with the local township.

Once the platform production was complete, we arranged for a prompt delivery and coordinated together the best installation schedule. In order to reduce interruptions to their manufacturing schedule, we installed during 3rd shift hours and also used additional crew members.

What Our Customers Say...

The staff at The Mezzanine Company seemed to be an unusually well coordinated, enthusiastic team. Everyone I interacted with had current information and knew exactly what needed to be done to keep the project moving towards completion. Your consistent, timely communication and keeping me aware of the project status made it easy to make decisions throughout the process.
