Challenge

Coronado Stone is a manufacturer of stone veneer, thin brick, tile and precast products. They have been creating simulated stone siding, that captures the natural elegance and beauty of genuine stone, for over 60 years. With eight manufacturing facilities throughout the US, short lead times and competitive pricing, Coronado is the preferred supplier of masonry products for any commercial or residential project.

Recently, they were looking to gain some additional manufacturing space in a new corporate facility that they were building in Perris, CA.

Coronado Stone reached out to The Mezzanine Company to provide a solution. In order to maximize the manufacturing space, the mezzanine would need to be custom designed to accommodate several curing rooms below.

Solution

Working closely with Coronado Stone, we came up with a design for a 3,200 square foot rectangular shaped mezzanine that would serve their needs. For the flooring, Grey Resindek would be used.

To work around the curing rooms below, the mezzanine was custom designed with a height of 15’ and specific column placement. Additionally, the mezzanine was designed with knee bracing to maximize the clear height below the mezzanine.

Once the proposal was accepted, approval drawings were generated, and our local project manager made a site visit to make the finishing design adjustments. Additionally, we provided PE stamped drawings, for the State of California, to be used for permitting purposes.

When the mezzanine production was complete, we arranged for a prompt delivery and coordinated together the best installation schedule. This included coordination with the company pouring the footings for our columns. The mezzanine was then installed by our local installation team, as planned.

What Our Customers Say...

It is always my intention to do business with companies that put customer service and satisfaction in the forefront. When we needed a mezzanine to expand storage in one of our rooms we looked for a company that we felt could fit the bill and The Mezzanine Company certainly did just that.
