Dominion Lux, Thornburg, VA

Challenge
Dominion Lux is a brand new garage condominium located at Dominion Raceway. Whether you want to drive the rolling country roads of the area surrounding Thornburg or use the Raceway, their Lux Garage Condominiums offer a perfect solution.
As part of the design, each of the 12 private garage condominium units was to include a loft which would overlook the soaring 22' high space.
Dominion Holdings reached out to The Mezzanine Company to provide mezzanines for each of the condominium units. As part of the project, we would need to coordinate the design of each mezzanine to custom fit each condominium unit.
Solution
Working closely with Dominion Holdings, and their architect, we provided a proposal for 12 rectangular shaped loft mezzanine that would serve their needs. 9 of the mezzanines were approximately 414 square feet, 2 were approximately 185 square feet, and one was approximately 200 square feet.
For the flooring, Resindek would be used. Additionally, each mezzanine included a straight run IBC stair for foot traffic. Each mezzanine also included wire mesh handrail on the deck and the stairs. The rails and kickplate were all custom painted gray for a more uniform look.
Once the proposal was accepted, approval drawings were generated and our local rep made a site visits to make the finishing design adjustments. When the mezzanine was completed production, we arranged for a prompt delivery and installation by our local team in coordination with all of the other trades working on-site.
