Challenge

Dreamlight Activewear is an elite clothing supplier for the gymnastics industry.  They specialize in unique designs and incorporating new materials and textiles into their outfits, creating trendsetting designs for the industry.

Dreamlight needed a storage solution for an area that had no more floor space available. They needed something that could be designed to maximize the existing open space of their building and allow smooth access to both foot traffic and for the unloading and loading of materials.

Dreamlight contacted The Mezzanine Company to help them with this storage solution.

Solution

We solved these issues by designing a mezzanine that would match up exactly with three walls and featured an interior staircase. By fitting the mezzanine to walls on three of the four sides, we maximized the space available, gaining them approximately an additional 700 square feet.

The mezzanine was designed to have a floor height of ten feet, thereby leaving plenty of space underneath.  We provided an IBC staircase to satisfy all code requirements and provide for ease of access. The mezzanine stair was designed to fit along the one wall and inside the footprint of the mezzanine area.

To help with the loading and unloading of materials, we included a 5’ wide double swing gate on the side nearest to the shipping area, creating a convenient route for the flow of materials to the new mezzanine.

We worked closely with our installers, the manufacturer, and our shipping company, throughout the entire process to ensure that everything was done on time and met our high standards.
