Challenge

Hudson Valley Community College is “the second-largest institution of higher learning in the Capital Region of New York State” and “serves approximately 13,000 students each semester”. They came to us looking for additional storage space for their ice arena.

Since the facility would be open to the public, they needed the area to be secure.

Additionally, they needed a solution that could be implemented within a quick timeline, before the fall semester started.

Solution

Hudson Valley reached out to The Mezzanine Company about submitting a bid on the project.

One of our staff members was able to quote the project using drawings and specifications that Hudson Valley provided. We proposed an approximate 1,000 square foot platform. The mezzanine included a straight run, IBC staircase and a bar grating deck.

Additionally, we proposed enclosing the bottom of the platform with a three sided Ebtech modular wall system, to serve as their protected storage space.

Once we were awarded the project, our project manager met with Hudson Valley to review the approval drawings with the customer and finalize all of the details, including the types of doors and sizes.

Once the mezzanine was out of production, we conducted the shipment and installation schedule with the customer, on time, before the students arrived for the fall semester. The mezzanine and modular wall system were installed as planned, and on time, much to the delight of the customer.

What Our Customers Say...

The staff at The Mezzanine Company seemed to be an unusually well coordinated, enthusiastic team. Everyone I interacted with had current information and knew exactly what needed to be done to keep the project moving towards completion. Your consistent, timely communication and keeping me aware of the project status made it easy to make decisions throughout the process.
