ServPro of Chesapeake in Virginia reached out to The Mezzanine Company recently in need of a storage solution for one of their locations. The site was filled to capacity making it difficult to work around.

They needed us to get them as much space as possible in a tight area while at the same time designing a storage system that would not interfere with the layout that they already had in place.

Our team made a site visit to their location to take measurements of the area and notes about the layout of their equipment. Using this information, we were able to design multiple storage platforms that would minimally impact their existing setup.  It allowed us to present them with several solutions and together decided on the one that best fit their needs.

In the end, we went with a 1,350 square foot custom designed storage mezzanine that had six sides, five of which we fit flush against a wall to maximize the space available.   To allow them to take full advantage of this new storage platform space, we provided an OSHA regulated staircase and a 5’ wide double swing gate. The combination of these creates a platform that is easy to load larger materials on and be accessed conveniently by workers when needed.

By working closely with our installers, the manufacturer, and our shipping company we were able to complete all the work in a way that caused minimal disruptions to their operation and met their time requirements.
