Challenge

Triad Tool is a family owned company located in Branchburg New Jersey that has been in business for over 80 years. They are a contract manufacturer who specializes in close tolerance CNC (computer numerical control) precision machining in particular complex prismatic shaped parts.  Their main fields of work are with electro-optical, semiconductor, electronic, aerospace, defense, and surgical instrument industries.  They recently contacted The Mezzanine Company looking for a solution to a problem.

Triad Tool had an existing storage platform that they used for long term storage.  However, they did not have a suitable way to access this platform if they needed to. This was the challenge they presented us with.

Solution

To solve their problem, we provide a custom designed mezzanine stair system that would give them access to their existing platform in several ways.

The first was an OSHA regulation staircase to allow for workers to reach the storage platform.  The second was a small 42 square foot mezzanine platform placed at the top of the stairs, which we also included a double swing gate to allow for the loading and unloading of pallets into the storage area.

To make certain everything would fit into their existing structure, we sent our technicians to the site.  They were able to make several key adjustments from their visits, like matching the storage platforms exact height at 12’-6” and redesigning our mezzanine to cantilever over their equipment underneath.

They also noted the limited space for the staircase which working with the factory we were able to use a sharper 45 degree angle and shorten the length of the mid landing to ensure that if fit the space with enough clearance.

In addition, by working with Triad Tool, our installers, and our shipping company, we were able to coordinate the delivery and installation around an equipment move Triad was doing, allowing for a smooth completion of the project.

What Our Customers Say...

The staff at The Mezzanine Company seemed to be an unusually well coordinated, enthusiastic team. Everyone I interacted with had current information and knew exactly what needed to be done to keep the project moving towards completion. Your consistent, timely communication and keeping me aware of the project status made it easy to make decisions throughout the process.
