Universal Tools & Manufacturing Co, a custom metal stamping, tool, and die making manufacturer, has been in business since 1945. Built on quality, efficiency, experience and a spirit of excellence, their parts have literally gone to the moon and into millions of homes!

Recently, they were constructing a new building to grow their operations and were looking to add some additional storage space in the new building. Since the new building had tall ceilings, a mezzanine was an ideal solution to make use of their unused air space.

Universal Tools & Manufacturing contacted The Mezzanine Company about a mezzanine solution. The mezzanine would need to be designed around some existing obstructions, like some building columns.

The Mezzanine Company worked closely with Universal Tool to come up with a design for a storage platform mezzanine that would serve their unique needs. We proposed an approximate 300 square foot platform. The mezzanine was custom designed with cutouts for the two existing building columns.

In order to take up minimal space, and avoid landing in front of an overhead door, the mezzanine included a custom designed L-shaped IBC staircase for employee access.

Once the proposal was approved, we sent one of our project managers onsite to review the layout drawings with the customer to get the final approval.

After careful planning and efficient communication between all parties, the mezzanine was delivered and installed by our local installation team. The new mezzanine provided Universal Tool & Manufacturing with the additional space needed in their new building.
