International Delights began in 1986 as a small Greenwich Village pastry shop. Since then, they’ve moved to a 180,000 square foot, state-of-the art facility in Clifton.

Recently, they were looking to gain more space in their maintenance department. This mezzanine would give them some much needed additional space to work and store parts. Additionally, there was a conveyor running above their maintenance department. This mezzanine would help them access that as well.

International Delights contacted The Mezzanine Company to help provide a solution. In order to fit a mezzanine into this space, it would mean designing the mezzanine to custom fit around the three walls, and obstructions along those walls, that it would butt up against.

The Mezzanine Company worked closely with the International Delights to come up with a design for a 400 square foot mezzanine that would serve their needs.

The mezzanine included (1) straight run OSHA staircase for providing easy access for employees. For loading materials on and off the mezzanine, we provided a 6’ double swing gate. For the flooring, we provided ResinDek.

Once the proposal was accepted, approval drawings were created and our project manager made a site visit to make the final design adjustments.

When the mezzanine was out of production, we arranged for a prompt delivery the week of the install. The mezzanine was installed by our local installation team, as planned, and on time, with minimum interruption to operations.
