Need Powder Coating specializes in high-quality powder coating service.

At their facility in Newark, they were going to be receiving a shipment of a lot of material and needed additional storage space to store the material. It was important to keep their existing shop area below clear.

Need Powder Coating reached out to The Mezzanine Company for assistance with providing a mezzanine to help increase their storage space.

One particular challenge would be that a third of the space for the mezzanine would need to be installed over an existing office and along some angled walls with obstructions.

A project manager from The Mezzanine Company made a visit to Need Powder Coating’s facility. After reviewing the space, they provided a quote for an approximately 2,800 square foot mezzanine.

The mezzanine was custom designed with special post placement to work around the existing office below. Additionally, in order to keep the shop area clear, and unrestricted below, we utilized several large span I-beams spanning up to 36.5’ in length.

The mezzanine would also include an OSHA staircase, a slide gate, and open bar grating.

Once the proposal was approved, we sent our project manager to review the layout drawings with the customer to get the final approval.

When the mezzanine was out of production, and shipment was arranged, the mezzanine was installed as planned. Installation of the material over the office was difficult, but our skilled team was up for the challenge, leading to a successful close to this project.
